I wasn't sure if I should post this in here or the art/sig forum, but anywho. I'm guessing some of you may have some photos saved on your hard drive.
I'm looking for some good "moving" military pictures that I might be able to do some digital editing to.
Here are the ones that i have saved on my PC (i posted some of 'em in the rasturbation thread a while back).

PS. I do know about that military photos website, but it would take me hours upon hours to sift through all of those pictures for some very emotional ones.

Exercise HEAVY METAL 18-20 February 2005
An annual training event for The Calgary Highlanders is Exercise HEAVY METAL, held in Wainwright. The training is geared towards live firing of the support weapons found in an infantry company, as time and ammunition permit. In past years, this exercise has included weapons ranging from the 60mm mortar to the .50 calibre machine gun. Other weapons with which the Highlanders live fired during HEAVY METAL 2005 included the C6 general purpose machine gun, the M203 grenade launcher, and the sub-calibre inserts for the 84mm SRAAW (Carl Gustav anti-armour weapon).
The new Tactical Vest (TV) was worn in the field for the first time by the unit.

It's so accurate, its scary. It's supposed to be a machine gun, but you can hit targets from far away no problem. And when its in the sustained fire position, you can hit targets from 1800m away. Probably the best weapon i've fired besides the anti tank weapons.

Thats the C79 OPtical Sight. Its on pretty much every single rifle and their even on most C9 LMG's.
I personally hate them. Can't see anything through them at night. They have a glowing part, but its tough to acquire the target at night with the sight. I think iron sights would be better. For perfect clear day shooting, the sight works great. But usually it's not a perfect day.
It's 3.4X magnification.
http://www.sfu.ca/casr/101-c7a1.htm
And your tyalking about "looking over a whole lotta land".
Max effective range of one C7 is 400m. A whole section's mex effective range is around 800m I think. If you think you're going to hit anything over 400m by yourself with an M16/C7, you got another thing coming. That guy is probably looking at 2 kms to the road, although its tough to tell.

He shouldnt have his barrel on the ground like that, when ive been shooting ive been told strictly not to put the barrel anywhere near the ground, cause of all the crap can cause problems when firing the weapon (if dust/ crap gets lodged in the barrel).

ITs that fear that makes it fun. During the summer I do dive resuce drills at my camp. You basically dive to the bottom of the swimming area(deepest is about 12 feet) and the water temp drops to about 40 degrees, and its pitch black. You then swipe the area looking for the dummy or hopefully I never have to find one, a kid. That pond and most of the ones in the area have snapping turtles in them and when you bump into something on the bottom it gets really creepy.
